SECURITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS MASTER’S DOUBLE DEGREE

The Master’s Degree Programme offers a comprehensive curriculum delivered in English, focusing on the interplay between security and freedom in the context of contemporary challenges. The program specifically addresses three key challenges: migration, technology, and sustainability. Its objective is to equip students with multidisciplinary competences necessary for understanding complex phenomena and working in strategic fields and innovative sectors.

The first year of the program focuses on building foundational knowledge related to security issues. In the second year, students have the option to choose from two specialized paths.

  1. Path 1: Security and Human Mobility This path delves into migratory processes and consists of two semesters: i) External Security of Borders and Management of Migratory Flows in the Euro-Mediterranean Area (The External Dimension) ii) Internal Security and Processes of Legal, Economic, and Cultural Integration of Immigrants (The Internal Dimension)
  2. Path 2: Security, Technology, and Sustainability This path focuses on the challenges arising from the use of technology and its impact on fundamental rights. It also comprises two semesters: i) Privacy and Data Protection ii) Green Security

By offering these specialized paths, the program allows students to gain in-depth knowledge and expertise in specific areas aligned with their interests and career goals. This multidimensional approach prepares graduates to address the complex and evolving issues related to migration, technology, and sustainability in various sectors, including migration and border security, new technologies, privacy and data protection, and green economy.

ELECTIVE ACTIVITIES

  • Annual Summer Training School: The program includes an annual summer training school where students have the opportunity to engage in specialized training sessions and practical activities related to their field of study. The Doctoral Programme on “European and Global Markets Law. Crises, Rights, Regulation” is open to graduates in Security and Human Rights, offering an opportunity to pursue a highly qualified legal PhD. The program welcomes students from around the world and is hosted by the DISTU Department.

Admission to the program requires meeting certain criteria, including:

  1. Academic Background: Applicants should hold a first or second level degree in disciplines such as Law, Political Sciences and International Relations, Administrative Science, Sociology, or History. This ensures that students have a solid foundation in relevant fields and are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue doctoral studies in the area of European and Global Markets Law.
  2. English Proficiency: Applicants must have a B2 level of English proficiency. This can be demonstrated through official language test results, such as IELTS or TOEFL, or assessed by the University of Tuscia. Proficiency in English is essential for effective participation in the program, as it is conducted in English and involves extensive academic research, writing, and communication in the language.

SCHOLARSHIPS and SUPPORT

The beneficiaries of the call will receive several benefits, including:

  1. Full tuition fee reduction: The student will have their tuition fees fully covered, and they will only be required to pay the revenue stamp.
  2. Accommodation support: The selected students will be provided with one year of free accommodation at the student residence. In case there is no availability, the students will receive a reimbursement for private accommodation costs, up to a maximum of €180 per month for a maximum of 12 months.
  3. Meal provision: The students will be entitled to one free meal per day, from Monday to Saturday, during the academic year. The meals can be enjoyed at the student canteen or affiliated restaurants in Viterbo. For students in programs located in other locations, a reimbursement of €100 per month will be provided as a contribution towards meals.
  4. Visa and travel cost reimbursement: The selected students will be eligible for reimbursement of visa and travel costs from their home countries to Italy, up to a maximum of €500. The reimbursement will be made upon submission of the required documentation.
  5. Scholarship: In addition to the above benefits, the students will receive a scholarship of €4,860 per year.

BA and MA DOUBLE DEGREE PROGRAMMES 

We have developed Double Degree Programs in cooperation with the Warsaw University of Economics and Human Sciences to explore new opportunities and gain double success.

The double degree programs offered by Eurasia International University (EIU) and Warsaw University of Economics and Human Sciences provide students with the opportunity to tailor their education to their specific interests and enhance their career prospects. By enrolling in these programs, students are required to study at both EIU in Yerevan and Warsaw University of Economics and Human Sciences, and successfully fulfill the requirements of both institutions.

Upon completion of the double degree program, students have the unique advantage of graduating with two degrees simultaneously, one from EIU and another from Warsaw University of Economics and Human Sciences. ADMISSION

General Provisions 

Required documents

 

  1. Completed application form addressed to the Minister of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. The application form can be obtained from the Ministry directly.
  2. Form 1 and Form 2: These forms can be downloaded from the Ministry’s website. You must print them, fill them out completely, and sign them before submitting.
  3. Questionnaire provided by the Ministry: Download the questionnaire from the Ministry’s website and complete it as instructed.
  4. Medical certificate: Obtain a medical certificate from a recognized medical institution in the Republic of Armenia. This certificate should verify your general health status.
  5. Copies of passport or birth certificate: Provide copies of all pages of your passport or your birth certificate. If applicable, you may also include a copy of your baptism certificate.
  6. Document certifying your academic education level: Submit a copy of the document that verifies your academic qualifications and education level.
  7. 4 photos: Provide four passport-sized photos with dimensions of 3×4 centimeters.
  8. Curriculum Vitae (CV): Prepare a CV written in Armenian, Russian, or English, highlighting your educational background, work experience, and any relevant achievements.
  9. Receipt of admission and registration fee payment: Pay the admission and registration fee, equivalent to 100 USD in Armenian drams, and keep the receipt as proof of payment.

Make sure to carefully complete and submit all the required documents as instructed by the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

IMPORTANT

  1. In order for the documents to be considered for admission, they must be ratified by the consular departments of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Armenia in foreign countries, unless otherwise specified by the laws of the Republic of Armenia or international agreements.

2. The documents, along with a reference letter from the EIU Rector, should be submitted in person to the Ministry of Education and Sciences by an authorized representative of the University. If you are physically present in the Republic of Armenia, you can personally submit the documents to the Ministry.

3. If you prefer an EIU representative to submit the documents to the RA Ministry of Education and Sciences on your behalf, you can send the full package of documents to the email address info@eiu.am. Make sure to fill in the fields NAME and SURNAME with your first and last names.

4. Please note that there is a non-refundable documents admission and processing fee of 100 USD. You need to make the payment and include the payment receipt with your application. The University’s bank details for the fee payment can be downloaded from the provided link. Your application will not be considered unless accompanied by the payment receipt.
