The KPI4HE project, implemented within the framework of the EU “Erasmus+” program, has been launched։ EIU is involved in a project consortium.

The “Establishment of National Framework of Key Performance Indicators for good governance and quality towards inclusive, digital, and green-oriented higher education in Armenia” (KPI4HE) project, implemented within the “Erasmus+” program has been launched at the Yerevan State University

The Eurasia International University, as a high education institution involved in the project’s consortium, represented by Ruben Markosyan, EIU Vice-Rector, Mariam Jilavyan, Head of the University Quality Assurance Center, Edgar Amirkhanyan, Head of the Public Relations and Marketing Department, and Ani Tamazyan, Head of the Chair of Languages, Communication and Pedagogy, also participated in the Project kick-off workshop.

The “KPI4HE” project aims to improve the management of the higher education system and the strategic planning of universities, contributing to quality, inclusive, digital, and green-oriented higher education in Armenia. This will be achieved through developing and implementing a national framework of key indicators for higher education activities, establishing institutional research structures, launching planning services, as well as revising state standards for accreditation of institutions.

“For Eurasia International University, this year marks the beginning of numerous international projects. Shortly, with our participation, and in one of the projects under our co-coordination, four large-scale educational reform-oriented Projects, aimed at developing capacities of the high-education system, financed by the EU Erasmus+ program, will be in the active phase of implementation. The KPI4HE project, dedicated to developing a national framework of key performance indicators for universities, is a truly national project with great potential to contribute to the effective strategic management and implementation of the university system. It provides measurable benchmarks for assessing and enhancing institutional performance, guiding strategic decision-making, and promoting accountability and continuous improvement,” emphasized Ruben Markosyan.

The coordinator institution of this three-year national Project is the Yerevan State University, with partners including the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, National Center for Quality Assurance, Eurasia International University, Gavar State University, Northern University, State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan, RA NAS of Informatics and Automation Problems Institute, Armenian Center for Educational Policy and Management (ACEP) NGO, as well as three EU universities, represented by the Technical University of Dresden and University of Oldenburg (Germany) and Genoa University (Italy).

On the second day of the KPI4HE project’s kick-off at YSU, the focus was on presenting the project’s goals, outcomes, and action plan for the upcoming year. Additionally, the financial management rules of the project were outlined.

Following these presentations, discussions proceeded in six distinct working groups. These groups delved into discussions on establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) crucial for university management, strategic planning, organization of the educational process, quality control, internationalization, as well as science and digitization.
