Opening Ceremony of the Jean Monnet Module “EU, Security and Fundamental Rights”

picture8On 6 July 2022, the Opening Ceremony of the Jean Monnet Module “EU, Security and Fundamental Rights” took place at the Eurasia International University. After the welcome words delivered by Prof. Suren Ohanyan, Rector of EIU, the welcome speeches were delivered by the honourable guests of the ceremony: Her Excellency Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ms. Kristinne Grigoryan, Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia, Ms. Taguhi Tovmasyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Prof. Dr. Thomas Kruessmann, President of the Association of European Studies for the Caucasus and Ms. Lana Karlova, Head of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia.picture6

Following the guests’ speeches, Dr. Anna Khvorostiankina, academic coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module, presented the Module’s components in teaching, research and public outreach and introduced the first cohort of students who completed the Module’s program.

The Jean Monnet Module is an integral part of the Double Degree Master Program in Security and Human Rights implemented jointly with the University of Tuscia, Italy.
